Welcome to St Mary's Church Wendover
St Mary’s is a lively and energetic church aspiring to be at the ‘heart of the community’. Everyone is welcome. At St Mary’s we have a rich heritage of Christian worship and witness over many hundreds of years. Our Christian faith is central to all that we do, and the warmth of friendship along with our worship and shared activities reflects this.
Through August there will be a Said service of Holy Communion at St Marys Church each Sunday at 9.30am; you need to book for this as we are limited on numbers . To do this please contact Christopher Trower by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 01296 623744 or 07827772948 before mid day on Saturday.
It would be lovely to see you - this service is for everyone. Just one or two things you need to remember: please don't come if you are feeling unwell, please wear a mask at all times unless that causes you are a real problem and the doors of church won't be open until 9.15am to allow us to get the church ready.
At 11am each Sunday there will be a service on Zoom led by different members of the Ministry team all on the theme of prayer .
This week's service is led by David Blackmore and we'll be looking at Contemplative or Meditative prayer as a way of helping us make the journey to our hearts where Jesus has told us He has placed His love. It will be part practical, part reflective, with some readings, some music and a talk by Rev Georgie Simpson, leader of the Oxford Centre for Spiritual Growth.
