Prayer and Prayer Ministry at St Mary's
May you know the awakening energy of prayer offered and received in the fellowship of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and of the Holy Spirit in the eternity of now, this day and always. AMEN
Every aspect of the life and witness of St Mary’s Church is sustained day-by-day, by the collective and individual prayers of our congregation.
Prayer Ministry is offered by a small, dedicated group of people who come alongside people in times of joy and trouble during services on Sundays and at monthly services for Healing and Wholeness. We also pray for peace and justice for individuals, our communities and the world in St Mary’s every month on Saturday mornings, and meet regularly as a group to support one another.
This ministry, which is authorised by our church leaders, is non-judgemental and strictly confidential.
At the moment, as the pandemic continues to dominate the way we interact, much of this face-to-face, hands-on work is on hold. However, we aspire and plan to be able to offer this form of accompanying prayer again in the very near future. Please watch this space!
Prayer Requests
In the meantime, as members of the Prayer Ministry Team, we continue to hold people and situations as part of our daily prayer when requested. If you would like us to pray for you or for someone else, we invite you to contact either
Trish Thomas: marktris.thomas2@outlook.com, Tel. 01296 622512.
Your prayer need can then be circulated in confidence to other group members.
We would love to welcome new members to our group. If you feel drawn to become a part of this team of people or would like to join in any of our initiatives on an ad hoc basis, you would be most welcome. Please get in touch with us using the contact details above.
