Music at St Mary's
Music is indispensable to worship at St Mary’s.
Those of us who are involved in making it, believe that music is an integral part of what makes us human – and our humanity is where we are touched by God. In all we do, therefore, as musicians at St Mary’s, we aim to illuminate and enrich our response to God and lead the congregation in going deeper into the mystery of faith.
We have small adult choir for our 9am service supported by two organists who share the service duties.
The 10.45 service music is provided by a larger, more diverse music group of singers and instrumentalists, including keyboard, guitars, wind and percussion.
All the musicians collaborate at various points during the year for join services of Evensong, Compline and Carols by Candlelight.
Music at St Mary’s is for all comers – you don’t necessarily have to be able to read music, and we don’t hold auditions. We rehearse on Friday evenings for both services, and this is usually followed by a social evening at one of the local pubs.

Wendover Music and Wendover Choral Society
St Mary's is a wonderful concert venue and hosts concerts by both
