You are welcome to all our services and the following may help you decide which is most suitable for you. During the summer there will be a 10am Joint Communion service, replacing the 9am and 10.30 services detailed below.
8am: On the first Sunday of the month, a said Communion service without hymns or music, using traditional language. Those who like a quiet and more reflective worship may prefer this service. Held at St Mary’s Church.
9am: A Communion service including music and hymns in an established style using up-to-date language. This may appeal to those who are familiar with formal Anglican worship. There is no provision for children at this service.
10.45am: A variety of more contemporary services in a more informal style, incorporating more modern music. Twice a month month there is a different style of service: a service for all ages and participation catering for differing learning styles; and an all age Communion service or one which usually incorporates Baptism. There is provision for families as Junior Church runs alongside some of the 10.45 services. Click here for more information about 10.45 service styles
6pm: We hold occasional evening services, including Contemplative Fire and Healing & Wholeness, please see the news section of the website for details.
At St Michael’s Halton, there is an evening service every Sunday at 6pm. On the first Sunday in the month this is a Book of Common Prayer (BCP) Holy Communion with hymns. On other Sundays the service is Sung Evensong, also following the BCP.
Morning Prayer: 9am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at St Anne’s, Aylesbury Road. A great way to start the day.
Mid-week Communion: Thursdays at 9.30am at St Anne’s Church, Aylesbury Road. A said Communion Service with time for quiet reflection.
